CULTURAL ROUTES

ECHE Lab is one of four Italian university institutions recognized by the Council of Europe  Institute on Cultural Routes and part of the University Network for Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe .

Ongoing Activities

The main activity currently managed by the Cultural Routes Section is the development of the Route: “BYZANTINE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE OF THE INNER AREAS ROUTE. Villages, defensive systems, monastic settlements, manuscripts, artistic representations, rites and traditions” in partnership with the BRIA association, established specifically for this purpose, and numerous other public and private entities.

ECHE Lab and BRIA are also preparing the application for certification of the Route by the Council of Europe.

The Cultural Routes Section is also conducting a cross-referencing of existing Routes, already certified by the Council of Europe, with Calabrian cultural heritage, with a view to including the relevant territories.
