ENHANCEMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE

The Enhancement and Management Section focuses on research activities related to:

• Strategic Planning and Integrated Projects
• Management Plans and Models
• Organization of Cultural Tourism Offer
• Feasibility/Economic Sustainability Assessments
• Assessment of Carrying Capacity and Impact on the Territory
• Community Involvement

Ongoing Activities

The Enhancement and Management Section is currently conducting experimental activities related to the organization of cultural tourism offerings in some Calabrian regions, including with a view to establishing their respective DMOs (Destination Management Organizations) or other organizational forms with similar objectives.

The areas currently underway for testing are concentrated in the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and are:

• the Costa Viola
• the Locride
• the Valle degli Armeni
